Abstract

Data Quality for Sustainable Facilities Using GIS
Track: Facilities Management
Authors: Kenny Floyd, Lonnie Darr, Peter Lang

Facilities management uses data to help drive decisions and as older systems have developed and expanded, many errors appear. Since data drives decisions, we must question the quality of decisions made with less than perfect data. Data collection is often a focus and quality control is a luxury item that is not always funded. Learn about how GIS can be used to help improve data quality focusing on spatial views to help make sense of the data.
