How to improve ArcGIS Server's performance, reliability, and scalability by leveraging Akamai's suite of web application acceleration services. Akamai's Application Performance Services accelerate web content by utilizing servers 'closer' to the end user and off-load infrastructure requirements from your organization's infrastructure. Akamai serves ~25% of the Global Internet traffic across their >70,000 Edge servers. This discussion will detail the Akamai service offerings and how they can be applied to ESRI's ArcGIS server to provide exceptional web mapping performance, high availability, and disaster recovery options (plus more!). Real world examples and case studies will also be detailed that show the quantitative and user experience benefits of applying Akamai's services to ESRI's ArcGIS Server.
