GeoGuard Sustainment: Moving National Guard GI&S from Innovation to Assimilation

The implementation of GI&S capabilities within any organization is often seen as the goal, but it is actually the long-term use of GI&S and changed information behaviors that are more realistic success metrics. This paper will describe the many steps that the National Guard is taking to instill a sustained GI&S capability. The presentation will focus on progress made in securing strategic alignment, policy and guidance, governance, and education and training.
