Applying the Community Map at the Town of York, Maine

This session will focus on the participation of the Town of York, Maine, in the Community Maps Program. The Town's participation was an opportunity to become the authoritative source of GIS data for the Town, in addition to opening up a new forum in which to share data. This session will highlight the Town's involvement with the initiation and training of the project, processes followed during the map production, and some of the ways the Town is implementing the basemap in our community such as conservation, utility, planning, code enforcement, and public safety maps and websites.
