The University of New Hampshire Technology Transfer Center and New Hampshire Department of Revenue have partnered to create a sustainable, statewide, GIS parcel map to revolutionize business practices at the state, county and local levels of government. Mosaic increases efficiency in assessing, planning, disaster recovery, environmental conservation, and economic development. The system combines GIS parcel maps and assessment information from each of New Hampshire's 235 taxing jurisdictions into a single common format without requiring standardization at the local level. Mosaic is supplemented daily with real estate transaction information from county registries of deeds. A number of simple, but effective methodologies have also been pioneered so that municipalities that do not have GIS parcel map data can be included in the system. To date two full editions of Mosaic have been completed; the first (June 2011) containing 85% of the parcels statewide, and the second (April 2012) containing over 95%.
