Urban-rural land-use mosaic is inherent phenomenon in Asian urban fringe, and can be considered for the basis of efficient resource management. This study assessed potentials of bioresource circulations between urban and rural land uses in several case study cities in Asian countries. We examined land-use patterns at a 1:5000 scale, and investigated and visualized current status of bioresource generation/utilization for these case study cities. We found that spatial scales of bioresource flows are influenced by difference in land-use pattern and topographic conditions. We concluded that spatial scale of urban-rural land-use mixtures should be considered into resource management planning.
