Track: Mobile GIS
Authors: Brad Fisher, Kendall James
GIS is central to the management and integration of information on the Thames Tunnel project in London. The GIS team connects all teams together to drive efficiency by providing web-based and mobile tools to facilitate the analysis, visualisation and access to information.
This presentation will demonstrate the web-based land use capture tool and the iPad/iPhone solution used to validate data in the field. These applications are part of the suite of GIS products the team provides to the project to deliver efficiency and trust in the information which promotes information collaboration.
The presentation will also demonstrate how we 'listen' to Twitter to map sentiment expressed by the public through the public consultation phase.
Finally I will outline the business benefit driving the use of these tools delivering ROI to a large project for a high profile client.
