As part of a large facilty upgrade the Neenah-Menasha Sewerage Commission wanted to upgrade the work-order management system that has grown out of date and was un-supported. They determined GIS was a great way to manage not only the location of the facility assets but also to integrate the work-order management system with the GIS. McMahon partnered with GeoDecisions to create an ArcGIS Server application that manages both the work order managment and facilities mapping for the treatment plant. Each operator can view asset locations, open work orders and view important documents such as shop drawings, O&M Manuals, start-up prodecures or asset photos all from the GIS system. The GIS has given new operators the ability to learn about facilty assets by simply spending time navigating through the GIS. All assets within the treatment plant are mapped in the GIS, creating a complete facilities mapping tool.
