This presentation will discuss how Anchorage Water & Wastewater Utility built private (internal to the Utility) and public portals to its GIS Enterprise systems and the essential tools it used to accomplish this. A key component of our success was to use Safe FME/Esri's Data Interoperability tool to extract, translate, and load feature classes from our editing environment to our published geodatabase as well as to transform feature classes within a geodatabase. Other ingredients essential to creating our dynamic portals were GeoNorth's ArcGIS Server based MapOptix software that allowed us to quickly configure our private portals in a "wizard-based tool and Esri's Public Information Center solution which allowed us to easily present our data to the public from the cloud.
