Space and Naval Warfare Center (SPAWAR) Atlantic is supporting Marine Corps Systems Command to delineate Land Mobile Radio (LMR) coverage areas for each major installation. The comprehensive LMR signal strength and geographic extent is crucial to ensuring successful emergency communications among Military and Civilian First Responders. This effort is part of the Emergency Management Command and Coordination (EMC2) Program to upgrade or expand Enterprise Land Mobile Radio (E-LMR) coverage to make the Consolidate Emergency Response System (CERS) fully operational. This effort utilizes geospatial analysis of field collected passive radio signal data to delineate the signal strength from each tower as well as a combined radio signal strength coverage extent to ensure there is adequate LMR signal strength for consistent radio communications in populated areas of each installation.
