Keller, TX strives to provide citizens and local businesses with a high level of customer service. City staff receive daily requests for copies of site plans, engineering record drawings, and land record documents. Integrating ESRI ArcGIS with enterprise content management (ECM) created a tool that provides staff with easy access to critical documents. Prior to the application, paper-based data had no spatial component. City of Keller, Texas' Keith Macedo, Director of Information Services, and Daisy Harsa, GIS Coordinator, will discuss how they utilize a Web-based application using ArcGIS Server with Flex API.
This GIS application enables users to analyze large areas while accessing detailed information on individual plats. Users query the data by parcel and immediately pull all related documents, including engineering drawings, site plans, FEMA information, land record details and maps.
Staff now have instant access to information. What once took several hours now takes only minutes.
