GIS on Federal Boundary Delimitation: An Experience of Nepal

The Interim Constitution of Nepal, 2006 clearly spell out, the Constituent Assembly (CA) should be restructured the country as a Federal State. So, the CA has formed the State Restructuring and State Power Distribution Committee for (SRSPDC) making the frame of federal structure of Nepal. Under those circumstances, CA has formed three member's technical expert team. The spatial and non spatial data were collected from Department of Survey and Central Bureau of Statistics. The ArcGIS 9.3 software was adopted in data generation, analysis and management of spatial and attributes data and fabricated fourteen federal states' draft of the new Nepal.
