GIS can be effectively use to Manage, Mitigate, Forecast and minimize the horrors of natural disasters. The 2010 flood in Pakistan which has taken over 1600 people, 1.9million houses destroyed and 2.7 million peoples displayed. Suitable selection for camps of displaced people and finding the most flood affected peoples were the biggest problem which have been solved by preparing a flood relief camps and flood zone automation model in ArcGIS v.10 using the freely available satellite imageries and other layers. Due to more prediction of flood the use of latest spatial technology to mainstream planning and management has been incorporated. A spatial database has been created; The model has been distributed in different flood affected districts. Input parameters have been set so that a layman may use the model for predictive and accurate planning. The model has been initially successful and will be used in post flood management and planning.
