As the nation's largest integrated healthcare system the Veterans Health Administration uses many ESRI products and features for the effective planning of care delivery locations, including Developer Network Editions of Network Analyst and Spatial Analyst. This presentation will show how VHA is using or planning to use relatively new features of ESRI products to better serve our internal clients and the nation's Veterans. Examples will include: 1) location-allocation analysis for suggesting optimal site locations, 2) historical traffic data for incorporating rush-hour into our drive time access statistics, 3) data driven maps for rapid production of local maps covering the entire nation, 4) exploratory regression for discovering causes of health outcomes while avoiding common violations of statistical assumptions, 5) Community Analyst for better understanding the communities we serve, 6) geocoding improvements for greater speed and accuracy, and 7) GeoPortal Server and ArcGIS Online for sharing our data.
