RazorTek and Parsons are teaming with the USACE Galveston District to develop an Enterprise GIS. The eGIS is based on a foundation of authoritative Common Infrastructure Data and Mission Data Sets, standardized under SDSFIE. Data is compiled from existing sources such as channel alignment maps and placement areas.
ArcGIS Javascript API was used to develop web-based GIS applications that include decision support and visualization tools. GIS-based applications include: (1) Channel Alignment Visualization Tool; (2) Placement Area Capacity Analysis Tool; (3) Survey Visualization and Planning Tool.
The purpose of the project is to create a user friendly, web-enabled eGIS that supports analysis, multi-user editing, centralized geospatial file storage, data standardization, with the capability to interface with other USACE systems in the future.
