Abstract
MedMap - Looking to the future
Track: Health and Human Services
Authors: Robert Shankman
MedMap has been around for a 2 years and has grown from a beta program to its current version. As it has grown the scope of the application has broadened and become quite complex. This presentation will demonstrate the issues with this growth and how a Federal agency dealt with this issue by creating a Change Control Board and other management items such as metric tracking to aid in control of growth and place some accountability to those who's needs seem to be the driving force behind the expansion of the scope. We will look at the current and proposed functionality and how the CCB process deals with updates to the existing application.
