GIS is the core or parent platform of asset management information system accordingly the integration capabilities of GIS in different percpectives which are required to avoid expected information risks are presented.The salient GIS functions are illustrated via selected case studies to help significantly in the execution of planning , operation , construction and maintenance business processes for electric utilities. The paper also includes the ability to view and analyze geographic data in terms of quality performance through the spatial impact of risk identifiers on organization business objective.Sample case study uses APDM template & PODS in the integration between pipeline management model and risk model
