Critical Assets and their Inter-dependencies

The Knowledge Display and Aggregation System (KDAS) is the real-time situational awareness and critical infrastructure modeling system supporting the ACTIC's missions and objectives
Critical assets, key resources, and their associated interdependencies create a highly non-linear and complex system. These are inherently difficult for asset owners and decision-makers to fully comprehend. Compounded by secondary and tertiary interdependencies, understanding the resulting emergent behaviors of multiple assets, especially during states of disruption as occur during emergency situations, presents an even greater challenge.
KDAS enables the end-user to create and model interactive assets in the geospatial environment, to track resources and otherwise understand interactions. The unique power of KDAS is the ability to convert individual resources into actionable "Live State assets. Integrated into a geospatial common operating picture, KDAS allows the user to project a cascading consequence among dependent assets and to present the information into an easily understood visual picture.
