The United States Navy has established a GeoReadiness program capability led by Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) HQ to provide, build, sustain, and advance Navy capabilities to support its shore installation management missions. Since its beginnings, the GeoReadiness Program has developed and evolved, guided by the input of NAVFAC business line stakeholders, HQ NAVFAC leaders and GIS technology and data users. The GeoReadiness Program has gathered requirements from these stakeholders to inform and provide guidance to the GeoReadiness Program to improve program capabilities, management, and sustainability. These requirements were identified, organized and prioritized to establish a mission, vision, goals and business roadmap for the GeoReadiness program to successfully provide geospatial data and services to Navy users. In this presentation, we will discuss the Navy's innovative and industry-leading user-centered, business process based and enterprise serving approaches to successfully delivering geospatial information and technology services to their global network of Navy users.
