Abstract
Land Information System of Trinidad & Tobago (LISTT)
Track: Cadastral and Land Records
Authors: Melanie Harris
The LMD is responsible for the administration of all state lands - issue of leases, registry and collection of rents. However, in addition to being unable to answer the fundamental questions of where and how much land, there were also issues of lengthy lease processing, duplication of effort and unreliability of data and information. LISTT uses ArcGIS Desktop 10.1, ArcGIS Server Workgroup 10.1, ArcGIS Server Enterprise 10.1 and ArcGIS for Flex API for managing the parcel-based spatial data. These systems are integrated with 3 types of databases: 4D, Microsoft SQL Express and Microsoft SQL Server which are used to store and manage all transaction records and parcel attributes. With LISTT, the LMD is able to increase the rate of capture of parcel information, centralize transactions, provide connectivity between its various departments and allow stakeholders instantaneous access to information, thereby enabling better decision-making.
