The Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Advanced Vehicle Testing Activity (AVTA) group has been performing advanced vehicle technology research for nearly two decades. Recently, INL partnered with ECOtality North America, Nissan, General Motors, various electric utilities, and numerous other city regional and state governments to demonstrate the deployment and use of approximately 14,000 Level II Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) and 300 fast chargers in 16 major US cities. Also included in the project is the deployment of 5700 Nissan Leafs and 2600 Chevy Volts. To date, the EV Project is the single largest deployment and evaluation of electric drive vehicles and charging infrastructure. AVTA researchers have been using ESRI's Business Analyst data to characterize and analyze the deployment of EVSE across the US. This presentation will demonstrate AVTA's use of Business Analyst data and will present some of their research results.
