SeaSketch (www.seasketch.org) is a web-based software service for collaborative geodesign and marine spatial planning. Capitalizing on ArcGIS for Server 10.1 and the Javascript API, SeaSketch can be used to rapidly create custom geodesign projects online. Launched in October, 2012, SeaSketch has been used for marine spatial planning in New Zealand, the Galapagos Islands, and by NOAA's Habitat Blueprint in US Federal Waters. I will illustrate how SeaSketch was used in each of these cases and demonstrate how additional projects may be created in planning scenarios where maximizing stakeholder involvement, evidence-based decision-making, and efficiency are paramount.
