Geospatial data, technology and analysis are critical and integral components of the travel and hospitality industry. Connecting customers with destinations is the fundamental application of geospatial technology in travel: it powers destination searches, drives shopping decisions, and facilitates travel planning.
Geospatial analysis empowers business decisions and is especially relevant within Choice Hotels' franchising model; however Choice lacked a geospatial strategy to provide enterprise awareness and direction. Accordingly, hotel locations were chronically inaccurate, geospatial data was outdated and managed manually, and tools and processes were fragmented and unreliable.
With use of Esri software, Choice built and evolved a strategy to increase franchisee and customer satisfaction, grow revenue, enhance data management, improve tools and processes, and expand mapping and geospatial capabilities. By implementing this strategy, Choice realized cost savings and incremental-revenue gains.
Through real-world examples, learn how Choice built an enterprise-geospatial strategy in a business environment with limited background using GIS.
