Track: Homeland and National Security

For the past six years, the Colorado Homeland Security North Central Region has been enhancing a GIS data repository to house locally-produced and -maintained datasets. This facility currently houses over 40 layers that are shared amongst the 10 county members. Efforts are underway to enhance data content, quality, interoperability and functionality across borders and amongst the contributors. This presentation will discuss three such initiatives:
. In addition to the original member-data-producers, access to this facility has been broadened to Homeland Security Planning Partners, including regional agencies and Municipalities, and other partners as appropriate.
. Centerline attribute addition and content assurance.
. Definition of custodial areas for participating municipalities and addition of upload rights to the repository. This will enable sharing of their data content, often more current or detailed than that maintained by the County within which they are located, to all repository members.
