Track: State and Local Government
Authors: Sherri Schreiner, Kevin Stewart
The City of Dunwoody, GA's new interactive GIS web browser is another step forward in the City's commitment to providing world class service and tools for City staff and the residents of Dunwoody. A year ago, if another department or resident needed property information, they called GIS staff to look up the information for them. With the new GIS web browser, powered by ArcGIS for Server technology, City staff and residents alike now have all the information they need at their fingertips instantly without having to hunt down the GIS department to look it up for them. The presentation will focus on the how local government can evolve and break through barriers of desktop and client-server technology and deliver a solution that provides access anytime/anywhere to a wealth of information.
