Regardless of the size of the organization, accuracy and precision are key to operating in an efficient manner. Cowley County has a population of approximately 36,000 people. As the GIS Coordinator for Cowley County, Kansas, I utilize ArcGIS to provide decisive data in an efficient manner. All the while, maintaining data integrity at all levels of map data production. As an active farming community, the citizens desire precise land records in a professional manner. I maintain an interactive webmap for our public to access land records at their convenience. I have also developed Geoprocessing tools for our Engineer's Department to utilize LiDAR data. I have worked closely with each facet of our county government to reach the geographic needs of our community. Through this I have found a positive feedback from an appreciative community as I look to put more GIS capabilities in the hands of the citizens.
