Economic Development based on Business Analyst Online and ArcGIS

The Middlesex County Office of Economic Development (OED) has a primary mission of encouraging businesses to invest in the county by moving into vacant space and taking advantage of economic incentives. To meet this mission, OED leveraged ArcGIS Server and Business Analyst Online to develop an intuitive and comprehensive website which provides the right level of detail to help a business evaluate where and how to invest in Middlesex County. The OED portal provides a map based interface showcasing available properties, proximity to transportation, economic improvement zones and tax incentive areas, and demographics. In this presentation, Middlesex OED and CyberTech will showcase how this application was developed by combining data and GIS resources from multiple agencies into a cohesive portal.
