Abstract
Changes with Latitude, Changes in App-titude

The City of New Braunfels, Texas has become a heavy user of Geocortex software in the development of high-quality Web-based mapping applications that expand the functionality of ArcGIS Server. The City has produced several comprehensive and department-specific applications to date. For example, one application has helped the Fire Department with hydrant inventory and flow testing, while another application assists Public Works with its street sign inventory and replacement program. Another application built in Geocortex Essentials has assisted the City with its EOC, providing real-time data editing functionality over the Web during emergency scenarios. The City is also using Geocortex's Essentials, Workflow & Report Designer to provide information through dynamic maps and app-generated fact sheets to citizens, staff, and an advisory committee about major City projects considered for the Spring 2013 bond election. With apologies to Jimmy Buffett, changes with Latitude Geographics have enabled great changes in 'app-titude' for New Braunfels.
