Abstract
Data Analysis for Targeted Address Canvassing
Track: Census and Statistical Data
Authors: Michael Ratcliffe, Kaile Bower
In preparation for the 2010 Census, field workers canvassed every street and road in the United States and Puerto Rico to review and update the Census Bureau's address list. For the 2020 Census, the Census Bureau is considering conducting a targeted address canvassing operation to verify the accuracy and completeness of the address list and associated features in specified areas. This presentation reports on ongoing data analysis and research to support a decision regarding the feasibility of targeted address canvassing, as well as proposed areas for inclusion in the targeted address canvassing universe and areas in which the address list can be maintained and verified through other sources and operations.
