An overview of using an Enterprise disconnected desktop editing workflow solution. The National Map Hydrography Dataset Stewardship Program at the U.S. Geological Survey (NHD) has implemented an A to Z workflow to support a disconnected desktop editing environment requirement. Our partnership program requires a streamlined one size fits all approach. This project utilized multiple ESRI product components, integrating/interfacing them with each other resulting in a complimentary technical streamlined solution. Our project front-end consists of a website interface and a set of custom desktop tools, including a custom streamlined Data Reviewer process. These front-end applications process requests/submissions to our middle and back-end applications and services - WMX Job Services, WMS Services, and ultimately to our Enterprise SDE Versioning framework in support of updates back into the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD).
