In this paper, the use of GIS for the management of watershed operations information is explained with associated web GIS applications. In the paper, use of GIS to support various activities related to watershed operations is exemplified. The watershed operations main activities include dam management, flood related and other debris removal, and management and maintenance of ecologically restored streams and their environment. The management of the restoration information through the use of visualization and analysis capabilities of GIS integrated with real time field data is described. The environmental information database integrated with interactive web GIS application with additional customization and automation tools would facilitate time, cost efficient and high quality ecosystem restoration through informed decisions, dam maintenance and debris removal. The GIS also enable tracking the progress of these activities.
