Abstract
Discovery and Access to Global Water Data and Maps
Track: Water Resources
Authors: David Arctur, David Maidment
Finding and accessing data in most countries of the world about local, regional and national water resources has been complicated by a number of issues, from concerns of local and national security, to lack of suitable conventions and standards for data exchange that could be reasonably implemented and enforced at the national and international levels. This presentation shows how these issues are starting to be addressed to federate regional and national data sources through WMO & GEOSS systems.
