The prevalence of mobile devices has reached a critical mass while social media is becoming a feature of political and civic engagement. Communities are finding great potential to better engage their constituents through mobile, interactive, and social media. You’ll hear about the mobile app Western Riverside Council of Governments (WRCOG) built to include community members in the planning process. The mobile app and mobile GIS map supports community understanding of infrastructure funding.
