Abstract
Spatial Patterns of End Stage Renal Disease and Selected Risk Factors
Track: Statistical Analysis
Authors: George Siaway, PhD, Fern Johnson-Clarke
Spatial analysis is used to determine spatial disparities in End Stage Renal Disease and selected cofactors. Spatial autocorrelation and cluster analysis with rendering were used to quantify the level of uncertainty associated with ESRD, tobacco use and diabetes spatial patterns. High ESRD hospital discharges and deaths, diabetes and tobacco use were found to be collocated in certain zip codes.
