Abstract
The National Map Communities of Use
Track: National Mapping
Authors: carol ostergren
The U.S. Geological Survey’s National Geospatial Program (NGP) seeks to understand how users are using products, such as LiDAR data that supports flood, landslide, and fault mapping. NGP has identified four key Communities of Use – Water Resources, Geologic Mapping, Geologic Hazards, and Natural Resources Conservation, and is gathering information from these user communities to improve NGP products and services, or create new ones, to meet the operational needs of users.
