The New Zealand Police wanted a robust, open, understandable scientific methodology for determining the best locations for speed cameras throughout New Zealand. The focus was to shortlist sites which would have the biggest potential impact on saving lives both on highways and all public roads.
Utilizing ArcGIS Desktop, Network Analyst and Server Abley created sophisticated models and spatial methodologies, the outcome of which is a very successful application used daily by the NZ Police.
