Abstract
ArcGIS Tools for Subnetwork Analysis of Dynamic Traffic Assignment
Track: Network Analysis
Authors: Jack Bringardner
Research into subnetworks for dynamic traffic assignment models has relied on the use of ArcGIS. GIS was instrumental in providing recommendations for subnetwork configuration using spatial analysis. Visualization of model outputs allowed researchers to identify network details, and ModelBuilder was used to combine geospatial tools and automate processes. This research emphasizes the effectiveness of GIS tools and databases for network analyses and creating visuals to aid engineering decisions.
