Track: Mobile and Device Apps

The best BLM data is collected by field-going staff on remote public lands. Since 2002, the agency has incorporated this data in the enterprise GIS system. This paper exposes the back story of data standards, business processes, documentation and training that embeds mobile GIS data into the enterprise. The health of western public lands is tracked using this mobile GIS enterprise system. The BLM manages natural resources on 258 million acres in the western US.
