GIS is a critical component of emergency preparedness and response. As demands for service, population density and traffic congestion increase and citizens demand faster response time; there is the need for simple but effective GIS products for first responders. The scalability of GIS enables local governments to handle these challenges. This presentation will outline the various ways the City of Rancho Cucamonga's Fire Department uses the GIS technology.
