During times of great challenges and massive public sector reform, at Ordnance Survey Ireland we have used a spatial data infrastructure to help place geography into the heart of the change agenda at government level.
This has taken a massive effort of collaboration across government, steered by OSi, whilst using change strategies (e.g. the Irish eGovernment strategy) and legal directives (e.g. INSPIRE) as guiding forces.
The Esri-centric geoportal.ie project was a key enabler in this process
