Radar Precipitation Data Geospatial Tool for Urban Hydrology

At urban scales, temporal and spatial variability of rain gage data becomes a factor to consider as a potential source of error in model results. In comparison, precipitation radar products can account for spatial precipitation variability at a higher resolution. We developed an ArcGIS tool specifically designed for the Stormwater Management Model (SWMM) capable of automatically combining radar and rain gage data into a single precipitation product that can be used to simulate urban hydrology.
