Abstract
Palomar Airport GIS: an asset and facilities management project
Track: Aviation
Authors: Troy Hightower
Accurate and timely information on the status of assets and facilities at airports has been difficult to obtain, analyze, or report. The FAA has issued a directive that airports must begin to submit airport data in a GIS format.
This presentation will review the development of the Carlsbad Palomar Airport GIS project, and efforts to comply with the FAA's new GIS reporting requirements. Benefits of GIS to the operations and management of the airport will also be presented
