Comparative Modeling of Surface Flow in Glaciated Landscapes

ArcGIS ArcHydro tools are used to derive surface-flow in the Prairie Pothole Region (PPR) of North American. The research compares local and regional models developed from LIDAR-derived DEMs, IFSAR DSM/DTMs, and 1/9 arc second NED. It assesses the pro and cons of these alternative data sources, focusing on the data' ability to resolve wetland depressions, render drainages, and determine patterns of wetland basin connectivity.
