Health Disparities Story Map Conception and Technical Implementation

MPR, in collaboration with US Computing, Inc, used ArcGIS Online to create an interactive map journal highlighting geographic disparities in the prevalence of chronic diseases and behavioral health conditions among state Medicaid enrollees. This dynamic Web App “tells the story” of the geospatial association between poor population health and small-area risk factors. This presentation shows the final Web App, identifies technical and security issues, and describes the vision and development.
