In most cases, creating trade areas is a simple task. When you need to create non-overlapping trade areas for over a thousand locations throughout the US, the standard methods don’t work well. Using Circle K as an example, this presentation will illustrate a new methodology for creating trade areas using Esri Business Analyst as well as discuss the importance of trade area definition and classification. Four lessons will summarize tips to create trade areas for a variety of retail store types.
