Buildings on a University campus are equipped with safety systems. Using ArcMap 10.1 for Desktop, a geodatabase was developed to locate equipment by type, and location.

Using a coded values numeric scheme, the data provides a visual perspective of room types and their campus usage. In the event of an emergency, facilities is able to make informative decisions to surrounding areas
