Colombia has been facing an internal armed conflict that has displaced more than 5 million people. At the national level, maps of expulsion/reception were created to show that a concentration of IDPs was emerging in urban areas.
UNOCHA implemented a humanitarian needs assessments in these areas due to an increase in urban violence caused by Post-Demobilisation Armed Groups. As part of the evaluation team in Tumaco and Medellin we used maps with the community to identified conflict areas.
