National Flood Interoperability Experiment

The National Flood Interoperability Experiment is being conducted as a collaboration between the National Weather Service, academia, and industry to develop a new high resolution, real-time flood forecasting system for the United States. I prototype system for forecasting flows in 2.67 million stream reaches is being tested. The goal is to provide better information for local flood emergency response.
