Californians are burdened by environmental problems and sources of pollution in ways that vary across the state. CalEnviroScreen uses a science-based method for evaluating multiple pollution sources in a community while accounting for a community's vulnerability to pollution's adverse effects. Data are analyzed in ArcMap and displayed using the ArcGIS platform. The tool will be used to inform the investment of state cap-and-trade funds specifically targeted for disadvantaged communities.
