The City of Austin conducts an annual survey measuring the satisfaction of citizens with the services we provide. For Public Works, this means asking our citizens how satisfied they are with streets and sidewalks. Historically, work to maintain and improve these services has been based on condition and gaps in the network. In the first phase of our analysis, we used GIS to investigate correlations between satisfaction and condition and utilized results in strategic planning initiatives.
